When a tenant makes a payment using a bank account (ACH), most banks report insufficient funds within 2-3 business days. 

In some cases, some banks (e.g. certain credit unions and smaller banks) may take longer to report insufficient funds. However, RentRedi also attempts to check the tenant’s bank account balance <b><i>before</i></b> each ACH payment. As a result, when the balance is available, it can help reduce the chance of an ACH Return due to insufficient funds by stopping the tenant before the payment is even initiated.
