How to Create a Custom Application Template in RentRedi

Want to tailor your rental application process? RentRedi makes it easy to create a custom application template that fits your needs. Follow this step-by-step guide or take a video tour to walk through the process.

To begin, log in to your RentRedi dashboard and follow these steps:

  1. Click the hamburger menu icon (☰) in the top-left corner.

  2. Select "Applications" from the menu.

  3. Click "Custom Applications."

  4. Choose "Create New" to start building your template.

🧩 Choose Your Template Base

You’ll be prompted to select a starting point:

Option 1: Use RentRedi’s Default Application

  • Name your template.

  • Customize by keeping or deleting questions as needed.

  • To make a question required, click "Mark Required" (it will show a blue checkmark).

  • Click "Save & Continue" to move forward.

  • Apply the template to:

    • A specific property

    • A specific unit

    • All properties and units

  • Choose the template type and click "Save & Exit."

Option 2: Create a Template from Scratch

  • Select "Create a Template from Scratch" and click "Continue."

  • To include pre-built sections:

    1. Click "Add a Pre-Built Section."

    2. Select from RentRedi’s prequalification or application sections.

    3. Click "Add Sections."

  • To add your own custom questions:

    1. Click "Add Blank Section."

    2. Create your question and click "Save Changes."

  • Apply the template to specific properties or units as needed.

  • Choose the template type and click "Save & Exit."
