Want to see if you may be a good fit for a rental before completing a full application? đŸ€”

A Prequalification lets you share basic information with a landlord so they can get an idea of whether you meet their initial rental criteria. You can complete a prequalification through the RentRedi app or Tenant Web Portal.

It's a quick way to get the process started before moving on to a full rental application.

Before you start: If you're prequalifying with another person, they must create their own RentRedi account and submit a separate prequalification. This ensures the landlord receives each person's information correctly.

RentRedi App

Download the RentRedi app from the Google Play Store or App Store.

  1. Sign in to your RentRedi account or create an account.

  2. Tap Apply.

  3. Tap the + button in the top-left corner, then select Prequalification.

  4. Enter the 6-digit unit code from the rental listing or your landlord's invitation.

  5. Fill out your information.

  6. Review your answers, then Sign & Submit.

Tenant Web Portal

You can also prequalify online through the RentRedi Tenant Web Portal.

  1. Open the invitation from your landlord or go to tenant.rentredi.com.

  2. Sign in or create a RentRedi tenant account.

  3. Under Applications, click Apply Now.

  4. Enter the 6-digit unit code from the rental listing or your landlord's invitation.

  5. Select Prequalification.

  6. Fill out your information.

  7. Review your answers, then Sign & Submit.

Done! Your prequalification has been submitted. Good luck with your rental search! 🎉

Prequalification Status

After you submit your prequalification, you can check its status in RentRedi. The status shows where your prequalification is in the review process.

  • Draft — You’ve started your prequalification but haven’t submitted it yet. Open the draft, complete any missing steps, then Sign & Submit it.

  • Sent/Submitted — Your prequalification has been submitted and is waiting for the landlord’s decision.

  • Incomplete/Changes Requested — The landlord needs more information or changes to your prequalification. Open it, review the requested changes, make the updates, and submit it again.

  • Accepted — The landlord accepted your prequalification.

  • Rejected — The landlord did not accept your prequalification.

You’ll receive a notification and an email when the landlord updates your prequalification status.
