How to Pay Rent with Cash Using Chime

Prefer to pay rent with cash? You can deposit cash into your Chime account and use those funds to pay rent through the RentRedi app! 🙌

Chime is a financial technology company that offers mobile banking services, allowing you to manage your money online and deposit cash at participating retailers.

How It Works

Create a Chime account or sign in to your existing account.
Deposit cash at a participating retailer.
Connect Chime to RentRedi as a payment method.
Pay your rent through RentRedi using your available Chime account.

Follow the steps below to get started! 👇

Step 1: Create a Chime Account and Deposit Cash

First, you'll need a Chime account to deposit your cash.

Create a Chime account: Sign up with Chime if you don't already have an account.
Deposit cash: Visit a participating retailer, such as Walgreens or Duane Reade, to deposit cash into your Chime account.

Step 2: Connect Chime to RentRedi and Pay Rent

Once your cash is available in your Chime account, connect it to RentRedi to submit your rent payment. ✅

Log in to the RentRedi app and tap Rent.
Tap the charge you’d like to pay.
Select + New Bank Account.
Enter your phone number for faster login next time, or select Continue without phone number.
Select Instant (recommended).
Search for Chime and sign in to your account.
Once your Chime account is connected, tap Pay to submit your payment.
