Need to save documents for one of your units?
Keep important property files organized by uploading them directly to a unit. This is a great place to store receipts, warranties, inspection reports, lease templates, and other documents for your own records.
Upload a Document to a Unit
Follow these steps:
From your RentRedi dashboard, click Properties.
Select the unit where you'd like to upload the document.
Open the Documents tab.
Click Upload File.
Choose the file from your computer and click Open.
That's it! 🎉 Your document is now securely stored with the unit.
Manage Unit Documents
After uploading a document, you can:
Open the document to view it.
Click the ⋮ (More Options) menu to:
Export the document.
Rename the document.
Delete the document.
Note: Documents uploaded to a unit are private and are only visible to you. They are not shared with tenants.
Unit Documents vs. Tenant Documents
Knowing where to upload a document helps keep your records organized.
🗃️ Unit Documents
Upload files here if they're for your records only, such as:
Receipts
Inspection reports
Warranties
Lease templates
Property-related documents
Note: These documents are not visible to tenants.
👤 Tenant Documents
Upload files to a tenant's Documents tab where you can share them with them as necessary. This is the right place for documents such as:
Leases
Utility bills
Notices
Other tenant-facing documents
Note: When uploading a tenant document, you can choose whether the tenant needs to electronically sign the document or simply view it.
