Documents Hub
The Documents Hub gives you one place to view and search every document you've uploaded to RentRedi.
From the Documents Hub, you can:
Search documents by title, property, or unit
View all uploaded documents in one searchable list
Upload account-level business documents
Find older documents without changing filters
Note: The Documents Hub displays all documents in a single searchable list. Folders are not currently available in the Documents Hub.
Upload Business Documents
Business documents are files that apply to your account instead of a specific property, unit, or tenant. Common examples include:
LLC formation documents
Operating agreements
Insurance certificates
Business licenses
EIN letters
Tax documents
To upload a business document:
Go to the Properties & Units.
Click Documents.
Click Upload File.
Drag & drop or click to upload your file in the pop-up.
Select your document.
Done! ✅ Your document will be stored at the account level and remain available from the Documents Hub.
Note: Business documents are private and cannot be shared with tenants.
Organize Documents with Folders
Folders help keep unit and tenant documents organized by grouping related files together. Instead of scrolling through one long list, you can organize documents into folders that make them easier to find.
Create a Folder
Folders can be created from both Unit Documents and Tenant Documents.
Unit Documents
Go to Properties & Units.
Select Units ➜ Find and select the unit where you want to create a folder.
Click Documents.
Click New Folder ➜ Set a name for your Folder ➜ Click Create Folder.
Tenant Documents
Go to Tenants.
Find and select the tenant where you want to create a folder.
Click Documents.
Click New Folder ➜ Set a name for your Folder ➜ Click Create Folder.
Move Documents into a Folder
Whether you're in a Unit or Tenant documents page, locate the document.
Click the ⋮ (More Options) menu.
Select Move.
Choose the folder.
Notes:
You can move documents between folders or back to the main document list at any time.
Creating folders doesn't change how your documents work. You can still open, rename, export, delete, and share documents as usual.
If a document needs a tenant's electronic signature, upload it to the Tenant Documents page.
View Older Documents
Older uploaded documents now appear automatically, so you no longer need to adjust filters to find them. We've also improved the mobile experience with a cleaner document layout.
Choose Where to Upload Documents
Uploading documents to the correct location makes them easier to find later.
Upload this... | To... |
LLC documents, insurance certificates, licenses, tax documents, and other business records | Documents Hub |
Inspection reports, warranties, receipts, lease templates, and other unit-specific files | Unit Documents |
Leases, notices, utility bills, and other tenant-related documents | Tenant Documents |
Document Permissions
Document visibility depends on where the file is uploaded.
Business documents are visible only to you and your teammates.
Unit documents are visible only to you and your teammates.
Tenant documents are only visible to tenants if you choose to request a document to be signed or share it with them.
Note: Moving documents into folders does not change document permissions.
We hope this makes it simpler to manage all the documentation that keeps your business running. Let us know what you think using this feedback survey!
