You can set up different payment accounts for each property and indicate which bank account rent payments will go to. Payment accounts are unlimited, so you can set up a payment account for each property or unit! 😊
After you create your payment account, you can connect it to the respective property using the tour/instructions below. You can also see which properties or units are connected to which payment accounts and change these payment account connections if needed!
Want to view your payment account connections and see which payment account your property will send rent to?
Take the tour, and we'll show you how. 😄
Or, follow the steps below! 👇
Access your Property Connections dashboard
From your RentRedi dashboard, click the Expand Sidebar » button.
Click Payments, then select Payment Accounts.
Toggle to Property Connections.
Updating Property Connections
To update a connected account, click the dropdown menu next to the property and select the payment account you want to connect.
If you want to connect a specific payment account to a unit, click the arrow next to the property address to expand the list of units.
Click the dropdown for the unit's Primary or Security Deposit account, and select the payment account you want to connect.
Note: “Inherit from Property” means the unit is using the same payment account that is assigned at the property level.
Set a Global Default Payment Account
You can set a Global default payment account so it’s automatically used whenever you add new properties in RentRedi! 🎉
In the upper-right portion of your Property Connections dashboard, click the Pencil button.
Select the default payment account that you want to use as your Primary and Security Deposit account.
Done! ✅
Important notes:
The Primary payment account receives all standard payments, such as rent, late fees, repairs, utilities, and other charges.
The Security deposit account (optional) receives payments for charges created as “Tenant Security Deposits Held.”
Don’t see the payment account you want?
Click + Add New to add a new payment account.
Have a property that's not collecting payments?
You can choose Skip Connection for the property. Choosing this option skips the property from payment collections.
