Need to keep security deposits in a separate payment or back account than rent or other charges?

  1. You can create and connect a payment account for security deposits only to each property!

  2. Use the deposit drop down to link the new account(s) to the associated properties.

The primary account will receive all payments (rent, late fees, repairs, utilities, etc).

The security deposit account (optional) can be used to receive payments made/charges booked as "Tenant Security Deposits Held".

💡TIP

You can name payment accounts to show "{Payment Account Name} - DEPOSIT" or whatever you would prefer to show on the tenant’s bank account.
