How to Deposit Tenant Payments Into Different Bank Accounts in RentRedi

Need to deposit a tenant’s rent or security deposit into different bank accounts? Or want to assign specific payment accounts to certain properties or units?

RentRedi makes it easy to connect multiple payment accounts and control where funds are deposited.

Follow the steps below to set up and manage your property payment connections.

Deposit to a Different Bank Account by Property or Unit

  1. From your RentRedi dashboard, click the Sidebar Toggle to expand the menu.

  2. Click Payments, then select Payment Accounts.

  3. On the Payment Accounts page, click Property Connections.

  4. You will see a list of your properties and their connected payment accounts.

  5. To change the bank account for rent collection

    1. Click the dropdown under Primary and select the payment account you want to use for collecting rent.

  6. To change the bank account for security deposits

    1. Click the dropdown under Security Deposit and select the payment account you want to use.

  7. To connect a specific payment account to a unit, click the arrow next to the property address to expand the list of units.

    1. Click the dropdown for the unit's Primary or Security Deposit account, and choose the payment account you want to connect.


Deposit Rent and Security Deposits Into Separate Bank Accounts

If you want rent payments and security deposits to go to different bank accounts for the same property, you can manage this directly in Property Connections.

  1. From your RentRedi dashboard, click the Sidebar Toggle.

  2. Click Payments, then select Payment Accounts.

  3. Click Property Connections.

  4. Locate your property in the list.

  5. Under Primary, choose the bank account for rent payments.

  6. Under Security Deposit, choose the bank account for security deposits.

Your selections will ensure that rent and security deposits are automatically routed to the correct bank accounts, helping you stay organized and compliant with your accounting needs. ✅
