When tenants make payments through RentRedi, a convenience fee is charged based on the payment method they select.
By default, convenience fees are charged to the tenant:
$1.00 for ACH or bank account payments (recommended)
3.1% + $0.30 per transaction for credit and debit card payments
Note: Debit cards are considered a credit card and charged the same rate
What Tenants See
Before submitting a payment, tenants can see the convenience fee for their selected payment method so they know the total amount they’ll be charged.
The Pay button shows the total amount, including the convenience fee.
Accept ACH-Only Payments
Landlords can disable card payments and accept ACH-only payments from tenants.

Cover Convenience Fees for Your Tenants
Landlords can choose to cover the convenience fees from the Settings page. You can cover the $1 ACH convenience fee, the 3.1% + $0.30 card convenience fee, or both. See How to Pay the Fee for Your Tenants.
Note: When you choose to cover the convenience fee, the fee is deducted from the tenant's payment. For example, if a tenant pays $100 using their bank account, the $1 ACH convenience fee is deducted from the payment. You’ll receive $99 for that payment.
