Troubleshooting Rotated Photos on Listing

Zillow photos, rotated images, listing photos, upside down photos, sideways images, rotate photo, listing images

Written by Crystal Abing

Do your listing photos look correct in RentRedi but appear rotated or upside down on Zillow? Don't worry! This is usually caused by photo rotation metadata and can be fixed in just a few clicks.

Fix Rotated Photos

Follow the steps below to update your photos. 👇

  1. From your RentRedi dashboard, click the Expand Sidebar button in the top-left corner.

  2. Select Leasing > Listings.

  3. Find the listing you want to update.

  4. Under Actions, click Edit Listing.

  5. Click the Rotate button (the curved arrow in the corner of the photo) until the image is displayed upright.

  6. Click Update Listing.

Done! ✅

Why does this happen?

Many photos contain built-in rotation metadata that tells devices how to display the image. While RentRedi may display the photo correctly, some listing sites, like Zillow, may interpret that metadata differently, causing the image to appear rotated.

Rotating the image within RentRedi updates the photo's orientation and clears the rotation metadata, helping it display correctly on Zillow.

What's Next?

Once you've saved your changes, RentRedi will automatically sync the update to Zillow. Please allow up to 24 hours for the changes to appear on Zillow, as listing updates may take some time to process. If the photos still appear rotated after 24 hours, please contact our Support Team and we're more than happy to further help!
