Have an inactive property in your portfolio that you want to remove from your active list without permanently deleting it?

You can use the Archive feature to keep the property on record while hiding it from your main property list. ๐Ÿ˜„

โš ๏ธ Before You Archive โš ๏ธ

  1. The Archive button will only be available if all Current Tenants have been unlinked from the units in the property.

  2. If Current tenants are still linked, the Archive button will be disabled until they are removed. Follow the steps here to unlink your tenants.

How to Archive a Property: ๐Ÿ‘‡

  1. From your RentRedi dashboard, click the Properties tab.

  2. On the Properties & Units page, select Properties Only on the right-hand side.

  3. You'll then see all your Properties. Click the property that you want to archive.

  4. In the Property Details page, click the three-dot menu (โ‹ฎ) on the right-hand side.

  5. Select Archive Property.

  6. In the confirmation pop-up, click Archive Property to proceed (or Cancel to go back).

Done! โœ… Your property is now archived!

After you archive a property:

  • The property will be hidden from your main properties list

  • All units will be marked as inactive

  • Automatic rent charges will stop being created

  • Archived properties will continue to appear in Profit & Loss and Schedule E reports for tax compliance.

๐Ÿ’ก Tip: Archiving is a great way to keep historical property data in your account without cluttering your active portfolio.

Want to unarchive the property?

  1. Go to your Properties Only list.

  2. You will see an Archived badge for the property. Click the property.

  3. In the Property Details page, click the three-dot menu (โ‹ฎ) on the right-hand side.

  4. Select Archive Property.

That's it! โœ… The property will be active again!
