Wondering when late fees are applied in RentRedi?
Late fees are automatically applied each morning once a tenant becomes late based on your configured late fee rules.
How It Works
For example:
Rent is due on the 1st of the month
Your late fee rule includes a 5-day grace period
This means the tenant has until the end of the 5th day to pay before being considered late. If the balance remains unpaid, the late fee will begin applying on the morning of the 6th day of the month.
💡 Tip: When setting up late fee rules, a preview is displayed on the right side of the page so you can visualize how and when the late fees will be applied.
Recently Created or Updated a Late Fee Rule?
If you just created or modified a late fee rule, the late fee may not appear immediately. Late fees are processed during the next morning’s automatic system run.
You can review the tenant’s charge again the following morning to confirm the late fee was applied, provided the balance has not been fully paid.
