Want to see if your tenant has added a payment method in RentRedi to pay rent?

No worriesβ€”we've got you covered! πŸŽ‰

Follow the steps below to check your tenant's payment method status.

Steps to Check a Tenant's Payment Method: πŸ‘‡

  1. From your RentRedi dashboard, click Renters.

  2. Select the tenant you'd like to view.

  3. In the tenant's profile card, locate the Payment Method section.

You'll see one of the following statuses:

  • ❌ No Payment Method on File
The tenant has not yet saved a payment method in RentRedi.

  • βœ… Payment Method on File
The tenant has successfully added a payment method. You'll also see whether the saved payment method is a bank account or a credit/debit card.

That's it! You can quickly check this section anytime to confirm whether your tenant is ready to make rent payments through RentRedi.

Tip: πŸ’‘

If a tenant sets up a bank account (ACH) through Plaid, you may see an additional status: Balance Check Enabled

This indicates that the tenant connected their bank account through Plaid. When enabled, balance information may be available from the connected account and can be used as part of the payment verification process to help identify whether sufficient funds are available before a payment is initiated.

If you do not see the Balance Check Enabled status, the tenant added their bank account manually using their account and routing numbers rather than connecting through Plaid. In this case, balance information is not available through Plaid.
