Maintenance requests, notifications, rent payments, leases (including legal documents such as e-signed leases that tenants have signed), and more are linked to tenants even after they’re marked as Prior Tenants.
This data is retained so that you have it if you ever need it.
If a tenant is ever no longer a renter, you can mark them as a Prior Tenant and they will be hidden from the Current Tenant tab, while still allowing you to have access to potentially needed historical information.
The benefit of this is that you never have to look at the prior tenant if you don’t want to but you’ll still have access to important legal documents, rent payment history, and more.
