How to Export your Tenant Charges and Your Tenant's Payments to Quickbooks Online

You can now easily export your tenant payments from RentRedi and import them into QuickBooks Online! πŸŽ‰

Note: If you're using QuickBooks Desktop or Enterprise 2018 or older, click here for instructions. ⚠️ The export feature is not compatible with QuickBooks Desktop or Enterprise 2019 and newer.

RentRedi steps:

  1. On your RentRedi dashboard, click the gear icon (βš™οΈ)

  2. Click Settings

  3. Click Feature Settings

  4. Under Export to Payments, click Export

  5. Select an Export Type (Spreadsheets, Quickbooks Online, Quickbooks Desktop/Pro, Quickbooks Enterprise)

  6. Select the company/payment account that you want to export charges and payments for

  7. Select the start and end date

  8. Click Export and you're done! πŸŽ‰


QuickBooks steps:

  1. Then, in Quickbooks Online, from the left menu, select "Banking", and choose "Banking".

  2. From the "Update" drop-down menu, select "File Upload".Β 

  3. Note: If you’ve never connected an account, you can select "Upload" transactions manually. You can also begin your upload from the Import Data page (select the "Gear" icon, under "Tools", select "Import Data", and select "Bank Data").

  4. Select Browse and choose the file you downloaded from your bank.

  5. Select Next. If you haven't downloaded your CSV file yet, follow the on-screen instructions in the Upload file window to download your transactions and then select the file you downloaded.

  6. From the QuickBooks Account drop-down list, select the appropriate bank or credit card account and select "Next".

  7. Map the statement fields according to your CSV file format and select "Next".

  8. Select the checkboxes of the transactions to import and select "Next".

  9. When prompted whether you want to import now, select "Yes".

  10. Select "Let’s go" when the "Import Completed" notification appears.

  11. Once the import is finished, you are directed to the Downloaded Transactions window where your imported transactions are displayed on the "For Review" tab for you to review, add, or match.
