If your rent payment failed but you’re sure you have sufficient funds, the issue may be due to incorrect account information. Here’s how to double-check the details and ensure your payment goes through successfully.

✅ Things to Check Before Submitting Your Payment

Please review the following to make sure everything is entered correctly:

  • Name on Account: Make sure the name you entered matches exactly what appears on your bank account.

  • Account & Routing Numbers: Double-check that both numbers are correct and placed in the right fields. (It’s common to accidentally switch them.)

  • Account Number vs. Member Number: If you’re using a credit union, make sure you’re entering your account number, not your member number—they are different and not interchangeable.

  • Phone Number: Verify that the phone number entered is associated with your bank account, especially if used for identity verification.

  • Confirm with Your Bank: When in doubt, contact your bank to confirm that the information you’re entering is accurate.
