If you have utilities under your name and need tenants to pay utility bills to you, set up a recurring utility charge in RentRedi! This allows you to automatically charge tenants for their share of monthly utility bills.
Follow the steps below to get started:π
1. Enroll in Average Utility Billing (Recommended)
Before setting up charges, check if your utility provider offers a budget or average billing plan. This helps you stabilize monthly amounts so you can charge tenants consistently.
Common options include:
Pacific G&E: Choose the Budget Plan
Southern California Edison: Choose the Level Pay Plan
Con Edison: Choose the Level Payment Plan
National Grid: Choose the National Grid Budget Plan
Once you see what you will be charged per month, you can set up all the charges at once in RentRedi for the year.
