Need to edit a unit's lease start date, end date, rent amount, or tenants? No problem! 😊
Follow the steps below to edit the current lease or add a future lease.
Edit Current Lease
Use Edit Lease when you need to update the current lease, such as changing the lease dates, rent amount, or tenants.
From your RentRedi dashboard, go to Properties.
Select the unit.
On the Overview tab, find the Lease Details card.
Click Edit Lease.
Edit the rent amount, lease start date, or lease end date as needed.
Select the tenant(s) responsible for the charges.
Click + Add Tenant if a new tenant is joining the lease.
Optional: Enable Credit Boosting for $5.99 per tenant per month.
To exclude a tenant from the charges, click their name to deselect them.
Review the charge preview. You can adjust charge amounts, descriptions, and due dates, or delete or duplicate individual charges.
Click Save Lease Charges.
Add Future Lease
For a new lease term that starts later, such as a renewal or a lease for an incoming tenant, use Add New Lease. This keeps the current lease and rent charges in place until the new lease begins.
From your RentRedi dashboard, go to Properties.
Select the unit.
On the Overview tab, find the Lease Details card.
Click the ⋮ menu ➔ Select Add New Lease.
Enter the new lease details, including the rent amount, start date, and end date.
Click Create Charges.
Note: To view your current and upcoming lease details, go to the Leases tab within the unit. This also lets you keep track of your lease history.
