Renewing a lease? Extending a tenant's stay?

Keeping your lease details up to date in RentRedi is quick and easy. Whether you're extending an existing lease or setting up a brand-new lease term, we'll walk you through the process step by step. 🚀

Renew a Lease

Follow the steps below to set up a lease renewal in RentRedi:👇

  1. From your RentRedi dashboard, click the Properties tab.

  2. Select the unit where you want to renew the lease for.

  3. In the Lease Details section, click + Add Lease.

  4. Enter the charge details:

    • Amount

    • Lease Start Date and Lease End Date

    • Optional: Check Month-to-Month if the lease does not have an end date.

    • Charge Every: (Select Monthly, Bi-Monthly, or Custom)

    • On the: (day the charge will be due)

  5. Select the tenant(s) who will be responsible for paying the charges.

    • Click + Add a New Tenant if you need to add a new tenant.

    • Optional: Enable Credit Boosting for $5.99 per tenant per month. This benefit can motivate tenants to pay rent on time, helping ensure you receive your funds on time.

  6. Review the charges:

    • Preview all upcoming charges.

    • Make final edits to the amount, description, and due dates.

    • You can also delete or duplicate charges as needed.

  7. Click Create Charges when you're ready to save.

Done! ✅ The lease details have been saved successfully, including the monthly rent amount, lease term, and associated tenant(s).

Note: If the new charges overlap with existing lease charges, select "Yes, delete overlapping charges." This will remove the previous lease charges and replace them with the newly created lease charges.

No worries! Previously paid charges will be preserved and will not be deleted.
