RentRedi's Underwriting team may request documentation from new landlords or property managers to confirm their right to rent a unit.

In an effort to keep the platform safe for everyone, RentRedi and our payment processor verify identities and that each person has the legal standing to collect rent on a given property or unit. This process helps RentRedi prevent fraud in the rental space.

📧 Why Am I Being Asked for Documents?

Our payment processor requires identity and ownership verification to ensure each user has the legal authority to collect rent. As part of this process, RentRedi’s Underwriting team may reach out to request supporting documents.

The person who created the RentRedi account may receive an email from: [email protected]


Subject: URGENT: RentRedi Needs Documents to Approve Your Payment Account

The email will include the following request:

“In an effort to keep the platform safe for everyone and prevent fraud, the payment processor verifies identities and that each person is verified to collect money on behalf of the property owner.

Can you please reply to this email with the deeds to your properties (if you are the owner) or your property management agreements (if you are the property manager), so that we can provide them to the payment processor to show you are the rightful rent collector?”

  • Property deed (if you are the owner)

  • Property management agreement (if you are managing the property on behalf of the owner)

Once your documents are received, RentRedi's Underwriting Team will work with the payment processor to review and approve your account. This process may take up to 5 business days.
