The fee for using is debit card is an effective rate of 3.1% + $0.30.
Debit cards and credit cards are charged the same rate by the payment processor. However, there are options to pay less!
Options for tenants are as follows:
Bank account / ACH: $1 per ACH/bank/eCheck Transaction (recommended for the lowest fee!)
Card (debit or credit): 3.1% + $0.30
To ensure there are no surprises, RentRedi shows the amount that will be charged, both with the fee and without when paying rent.
The same is true when using a bank account!
