The lease start and end dates for a unit are set up when you create lease charges. If you need to update the lease dates, you'll need to edit the lease details for a unit.

Or, follow the steps below to create a new lease or update existing lease details. 👇
Edit a Lease
From your RentRedi dashboard, click the Properties tab.
Select the unit.
In the Lease Details section, click + Add Lease.
Enter the charge details:
Amount
Lease Start Date and Lease End Date
Optional: Check Month-to-Month if the lease does not have an end date.
Charge Every (Select Monthly, Bi-Monthly, or Custom)
On the (day the charge will be due)
Select the tenant(s) who will be responsible for paying the charges.
Click + Add a New Tenant if you need to add a new tenant.
Optional: Enable Credit Boosting for $5.99 per tenant per month. This benefit can motivate tenants to pay rent on time, helping ensure you receive your funds on time.
Review the charges:
Preview all upcoming charges
Make final edits to the amount, description, and due dates.
You can also delete or duplicate charges as needed.
Click Create Charges when you're ready to save.
Done! ✅ The lease details have been saved successfully, including the monthly rent amount, lease term, and associated tenant(s).
Note: If the new charges overlap with existing lease charges, select "Yes, delete overlapping charges." This will remove the previous lease charges and replace them with the newly created lease charges.
No worries! Previously paid charges are saved and will not be deleted.
