Want to set up charges for a month-to-month lease? No problem!

When creating lease charges, simply check the Month-to-Month box for the lease end date. This ensures your charges continue without a fixed end date. ✅

From your RentRedi dashboard, click the plus (+) Create New button on the left-hand side.
Under Charges, select Rent.
Enter the charge details:
Amount — Enter the rent or charge amount.
Lease Start — Set a date for your month-to-month lease.
Month-to-Month — ⚠️ Check this box to set the lease to month-to-month.
Charge Every — This is defaulted to Monthly. Leave as is.
On the — Select the due date for the charge.
Send Rent Reminders (Optional) — Enabled by default. Tenants will automatically receive reminders before rent is due (and every day after). This setting can be updated later if needed.
Require Tenants to Pay Oldest Charges First (Optional) — When enabled, tenants must pay any past-due balances before paying current charges.
Click Next to continue.
Select the Property & Unit and choose the tenant(s) who should see the charge.
Only selected tenants will be able to view and pay the charge.
(Optional) Enable Credit Boost to report eligible on-time rent payments and help tenants build their credit history.
Click Next to review the charges.
Preview how the charges will be scheduled based on the amount, frequency, and due date.
You can make final edits to the amount or description, duplicate charges, or delete charges, if needed.
Click Create Charges to finish.
Done! 🎉 Your month-to-month lease schedule has now been successfully created.
⚠️ Important Note for Month-to-Month Leases ⚠️
For month-to-month leases, the system automatically generates a new charge 21 days before the “On the” due date.
This means a new charge will be created each month in advance and will continue to auto-renew until the lease is either deleted or updated with a specific end date.
