Who is covered by my policy?
Spouses and immediate family members under the age of 25 who reside with you are automatically covered by your policy. Roommates, significant others, or family members over 25 need to be listed as a secondary insured or purchase their own policy.

How do I file a claim?
After purchasing, you will be emailed instructions on setting up your Sure account. You can handle your policy management, billing changes, filing claims, etc. all within your Sure account: https://insurance.sureapp.com/sign-in.

What's the difference between an additional insured and an additional interest?
An additional insured is a named person added to the policy, who resides at the same residence, and receives the same coverage benefits as the primary named insured.

An additional interest is a person or entity who has insurable interest in the property and can receive updates about the status of the policy. This is typically the landlord or property owner.
How do I make a change to my policy?
The quickest way to update your policy is to contact Sure's carrier, Assurant, directly at 800-432-8612. When you call, select option 7, then 6. Be sure to have your policy number ready. A representative will assist you promptly and provide updated policy documents.

Moving soon? Take your coverage with you! Contact our carrier partner, Assurant, at 800-432-8612 and select option 7, then 6. A representative will help to update the address on your policy.
No longer renting? Be sure to cancel your policy. You can find the information in this help article.
Your policy does not automatically update or cancel when your lease ends. Make sure you make any necessary changes before you move.
I moved out, why am I still being charged?
Like most insurance policies, your renters insurance policy will automatically renew until it is cancelled. Not to worry! We have provided instructions below to cancel your policy.
Follow the steps in this help article
Send an email to [email protected]. Please include your policy number in the email and be sure to specify your requested cancellation date.
Once your cancellation is processed, any refund due will be returned to your original payment method within 10 business days.
