Plaid provides a safe, secure, and smooth experience for paying rent! Now, renters are able to access their bank accounts directly to pay rent, ensuring that their account information is correct and that they have sufficient funds.
Why are you making this change?
The Plaid integration will reduce the number of ACH returns due to:
Incorrect account and routing numbers
Insufficient funds
Do all renters have to switch to this?
Yes, all renters need to make the switch to the Plaid integration by February 20, 2021 to reduce the number of ACH returns between renters & landlords. By enabling you to quickly and securely connect your financial institutions to RentRedi, Plaid can help you do the things you want to do.
Is Plaid safe?
Yes! Plaid is used by over 12,000 financial institutions (including Venmo, Chime, Betterment, & Acorns) to connect bank accounts. Read more about their security & privacy policy here. Plaid never shares your personal financial data without your permission, and they never sell or rent it to outside companies.
Do I have to download the Plaid app?
You do NOT need to download the Plaid/a different app. You will just need to update your RentRedi tenant app & payment method within the RentRedi tenant app.
I updated the app and don't see Plaid?
If you don't see the option to sign into your bank account after updating the RentRedi tenant, try uninstalling and reinstalling the app.
