You may notice that your Current and Prior Tenant lists still include names of former tenants from previous tax seasons. While you may not want to delete this information entirely, it can be helpful to keep your dashboard clean and organized.
Good news—RentRedi makes this easy with the Archive Tenant feature! 🎉
Archiving allows you to remove tenants from your active and prior lists while still preserving their data for charge history and record-keeping.
What Does Archiving a Tenant Do?
When you archive a tenant in RentRedi:
Their profile is removed from both Current and Prior Tenant lists
Their charge history remains accessible
Their information is preserved for reporting and records
Your dashboard stays clean and easier to navigate
Note: Archiving is only available for prior tenants (tenants who have already been unlinked from a property).
Step 1: Unlink the Tenant from the Property
Before you can archive a tenant, you must first unlink them from the unit.
Follow these steps here: 👉 How to Unlink a Tenant
Step 2: Archive the Tenant
Once the tenant has been unlinked:
From your RentRedi dashboard, click the Renters tab.
In the upper right corner, select the Prior tab.
Select the tenant you want to archive.
Scroll to the bottom of the Tenant Card.
Click Archive Tenant.
✔️ That’s it! The tenant has now been successfully archived.
What Happens After Archiving?
The tenant will no longer appear in your Current or Prior lists.
You can still access their charge history and records.
Their data remains preserved for accounting and reference purposes.
Need to Restore a Tenant?
If you ever need to bring back an archived tenant, you can restore them easily.
