Vacant Unit Showing as Rented

occupied property, vacant property, vacant unit listed as rented, showing as occupied, rented property, rented unit

If your unit is listed as rented when it is vacant, it could be due to the lease start and end dates.

A unit will appear as Rented if today's date is:

  • After the lease start date, or

  • Before the lease end date

Meaning, if the lease is currently active, the unit will be categorized as Rented. If today's date falls outside the lease period (before the start date or after the end date), the unit will be categorized as Vacant.

The Rented, Expiring, and Vacant categories are determined by the lease dates entered for the unit.

Unit Status Definitions

  • Vacant – The lease has not started yet or has already ended.

  • Rented – An active lease is currently in effect.

  • Expiring – The lease is active and within 90 days of its end date.
